Yes. We have tidal access to Carlingford Lough from the Folklore Park, normally 2 and a half hours before and after high tide. At the Pier there is beach access approximately 4 hours before and after high tide. Use the Check Carlingford Lough Tides link for updated high tide times to line up with your session.

Three barrels at the Folklore Park: two with fresh water and seaweed, offering a natural boost of minerals, and one with just fresh water. One barrel at the Pier with fresh water and seaweed. Two at the Panoramic Retreat: The Awakener, filled with giant ice cubes, and The Pretender, with just cold water. Every barrel looks out across Carlingford Lough and the mountains.

Swimwear (required), two towels, one for drying off and one for sitting on in the sauna, swimming shoes if you plan to walk or swim on the beach, and a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Cancellations up to 24 hours before the booking are entitled to a full refund or reschedule. Between 24 and 6 hours before, you can reschedule your booking using the reschedule link in your confirmation email.

Please note that customers need to be over 18 in order to use our services.

Yes. We have portable changing facilities with male and female rooms at both the Pier and Folklore Park sessions, and private changing rooms at the Panoramic Retreat.

We recommend arriving 5 minutes before your public session starts.

Our sauna is designed to fit 12 people, but for comfort we only allow 10 people per public session. We have accommodated larger private groups on a rotational basis. Contact us directly for details.

Sessions are 50 minutes long. However, if the following session is not full, we do not rush customers out.

Yes. We have an instant hot and cold shower at the Folklore Park, at the Pier and at the Panoramic Retreat, for rinsing off before your cold plunges and when you start and finish your session.

Yes, there is parking available at Shalom B&B adjacent to the Folklore Park. There is also parking available at the Panoramic Retreat and at the Pier.

If you need to use a toilet, please ask your host and they will bring you to one.

Yes. When the tide is in, most people will be able to stand on the beach at the bottom of the steps at the Folklore Park and the beach at the Pier. If you swim further out, the water gradually gets deeper until it is over head height.

The Pier sessions offer spectacular, uninterrupted views of Slieve Foy, with direct access to pier jumps and the nearby beach. Shower facilities, a whiskey barrel plunge and changing rooms are available at both locations. The Folklore Park is our main site with three barrels and steps straight into the lough.
